Friday, I received my new shipment (two years worth) of potty bags. I purchase potty bags from Paw Pal Products as these are thicker than the bags I can buy at any local pet supply.

When I first adopted Divinity, I tried bags from Pet Smart, and I could feel every nook and cranny of the stuff I was picking up. YUK! The apartment complex I was living at the time had potty bag stands for every building. These stands offered thicker bags that made the necessary task far more pleasant. Since then, I’ve purchased all my bags from Paw Pal Products and I can highly recommend them to everyone.

Divinity makes a friend

Recently, while at the farm/pet store Divinity & I met a nice couple who had just adopted a seven year old Cairn Terrier from one of the local animal shelters. It’s always nice to meet those who are willing to adopt older pets. The older ones have much to teach, we just have to be willing to listen.

Divinity, and her new friend Lilly posed for a few pictures. I’ve included two for you to see. Unfortunately, Divinity was not her usual calm self, and I needed to keep an eye on her while trying to chat with Lilly’s owners. Both Divinity & I hope to meet these folks again.

Last groom for the winter

Yesterday, Divinity went to the beauty parlor for her winter grooming. From now till around March I’ll let her fur grow to help keep her warm over the very cold Minnesota winter.

After we got home, Divinity was feeling super, so I put her in her Super Dog suit and Doggles, and let her zoom around the yard to her hearts content.

Today, it is Divinity’s twelfth birthday. Divinity is now officially older than I am based on the weight/age calculation.

For those who hesitate adopting an older dog, you really have no idea what you are missing. Speaking for myself, I look forward to as many years as I can have, with my little lady.

The first picture is a bit out of focus. However, it is difficult to take photo’s of Divinity as she always walks towards me when I am trying to take her picture. The second picture is one of my most favorites. Divinity looks like a 1950′s Movie Starlet in her Doggles.
