  5. It always comes…. it’s part of the love and love never ends, never fails. God didn’t create Divinity and you didn’t give the perfect name without reason. All the Keepers of the Clan will watch over her and take her to peek over the edge of the clouds to smile down on you until she comes to greet you and leap into your arms and you continue on into Heaven to never be separated. Candle here in the city of lights will shine to let her know she is loved forever.

    Creator God,
    In whose sight all life is holy and before whom all creatures of the are remembers; bless this life of Divinity with your Holy Spirit and grant her, with us, a share in your eternal kingdom.

    You have enlivened all the creatures of the earth with your Spirit: nothing dies but it is remembered by you and nothing lives without Your grace;

    Bless this innocent companion, Divinity and by your same Spirit, grant her and all your creatures eternal life in Your presence.

  26. Oh my, I knew this day was coming…. Rest in peace sweet girl.
    Thank- you Richard, for sharing your life with Miss D. She was a very special girl. I always enjoyed seeing her sweet smile.
    You both were so blessed.
    Richard, through your blog, she reached out over the miles and gave strangers a lift to their day. I especially enjoyed your indoor camping trips…must have brought out the kid in me.
    Please know you are not alone in your loss.
    Through tears,

  27. Dear Richard,
    I sit here with tears in my eyes. I know how hard it is for you right now. Gina will show her around and I do believe they will be waiting for us with bells on. You were the best Dad and gave her a wonderful, loving life. Oh, how it hurts. Thank you for giving her a wonderful life and so many adventures. I know she is now your little angel and looking down at you with her many “thanks.”

  28. I am very happy that you and Divinity found each other. You have had experiences the rest of us will never know. Remember that and cherish Divinity forever.

  29. I am so sad to hear that her health had declined so quickly. I think that in rescuing Divinity, she also rescued you. She gave you strength during a very difficult time and reminded you that you are needed. They teach us patience and understanding and what ever lesson they feel we have yet to learn.

    Thank you for sharing her with me, she was a terrier at heart and would occasionally remind of that fact with her stubbornness. Know that she is loved and missed. You have created a beautiful story to be her legacy of hope for all rescued pets.

  30. Hi there. I lost my little sweet angel Cairn “Ginger” on November 9th, 2013 to cancer. She was a little over 11 years old. Even almost after a year, a day does not go by in which I don’t think about her and shed a tear. She was so special to me and truly was my little angel. Thinking about her is what led me to your Divinity blog today. I want you to know that I am very sorry for your loss and thank you for sharing her story. She was a beautiful little lady. May she one day meet you at the rainbow bridge. God Bless.
